This is the midterm project for ARCH 653, a parametric building model of Seattle Central Library.
This model is composed of three parts: building mass, building envelope, and pattern based family.
Building mass is made of buttom, middle, top submasses which are separately controlled by a set of parameters including length, width, height, and relative position of each submass.
Building envelope is devided surfaces with rhomboid pattern. The size of the grid is controlled by two parameters, UGrid and VGrid distance. The proportion is controlled by the ratio of UGrid and VGrid.
Vertical proportion
Pattern based family is controlled by parameters including width and depth for the frame, and material for both frame and panel.
Finally, I placed all elements in to a project file and made floors, interior, and surrounding environment.
